NKONO is a Malawian non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 2023 with a clear purpose; to empower young people aged 18 to 35 to discover their purpose, develop their potential and contribute meanifully to their communities. We work across mentorship, vocational and skills development, digital literacy, entrepreneurship, career guidance and counselling, school readmission, talent and creative development, financial literacy and youth-led climate action.
Through these initiatives, we equip young people with practical skills, knowledge, confidence and opportunities to take greater responsibility for their futures and the communities they are part of. Our work responds to challenges that continue to limit young people's potential including youth unemployment, drug and substance abuse, harmful use of social media, teen pregnancy and, sexual exploitation and prostitution.
